Fab Finds: Pregnancy edition

Ever since I found out I was pregnant, I have been on the hunt for the pregnancy items. Between asking fellow moms, searching the web and just trial and error, I have come upon a few items that I simply cannot live without! They have helped this pregnancy to be smooth and enjoyable! So without further adieu...

{Voskos Greek Yogurt}

Upon becoming pregnant, you immediately become aware of everything you put in your mouth. You read up on what you can and cannot have. And you realize you probably need to eat more of certain foods and nutrients. Especially in the first trimester, when the baby is doing all of its development, you need more calcium, more omega-3, more protein, more water. But not too much more... remember, you only get 200-300 more calories.  And, when eating is the the last thing you want to do, you can find this as hard as I did. So I stumbled on this 130 calorie snack.

The honey vanilla bean is my favorite, but all the flavors are amazing...except exotic fig. I repeat, NOT EXOTIC FIG! This 130 calorie yogurt has 13g of protein {which helps knock off some of the 80g I should be eating!}, it has live & active pro-biotic cultures {which help fight bacteria illnesses, amongst other things}, and it is high is calcium and potassium! All in all, a daily treat I have enjoyed! And as a bonus, here is a link to a printable coupon on their website! http://voskos.com/products.html

{Leachco Snoogle Maternity Pillow}

Almost immediately, sleeping becomes an issue. With trying your best to sleep on your left side {for optimal blood flow} and your quickly growing belly becoming more and more tender, you need all the comfiness you can get. So I turned to this {not so small} pillow...

So its true, this pillow takes up 1/4 of our bed, but Jake has asked to keep it after Wyatt comes. Apparently, it shields my body heat and he to can cuddle up to it for comfort.

{Pregnancy Personal Pilates}

Besides the convenience  that its right next door to the salon, this is an awesome way to work out and stay lean {or a least try too...} while pregnant. I highly suggest Kim or Stacey...they understand the muscles that are needed to be strengthened to benefit labor, they correct improper  stances, and the best part, they don't treat you like you're handicapped! Yes, I am pregnant but that doesn't mean I can't move my body people! Using the reform beds, they hit muscles I didn't know existed. It took a little while to get used to not sweating and running for an hour to get a work out, but with my preggo buddy Jenn, I think we have fallen into a nice groove. {Here is their info for those curious....3402 W Burbank Blvd, Burbank, CA 91505-2232...(818) 559-7259}

{Bio-Oil}

Ok, no body told me your skin can get super dry and itchy once knocked up. And for me it was like my skin was going to crawl off me. Plus, you aren't allowed to scratch cause it can encourage stretch marks. I tried numerous butters, oils, and lotions...nothing worked! Until my sweet Jamie bought me this...

With the sweet smell of Lavender, Calendula and Chamomile and enriched with just the right amount of vitamin A and E, this oil is not sticky or greasy. It moisturizes my stretching skin and hopefully prevents those unwanted stretch marks {I'll let you know in 3 months time!} And another bonus...their website also has a printable coupon! http://www.bio-oil.com/uses.html

{Ruby*Love LA Baby Books}

So most of my readers already know about the phenomenon of these adorable baby books. But I simply can't leave them off my list. Besides, the owner being a great friend and a mom I aspire to be like, the books are chic, easy to use {and keep up to date with} and help document all the milestones in raising your little one. But I don't have a little one you say? That's ok, cause she has booster packs for pregnancy, holidays, and much more.

Wanting to start right away in documenting my pregnancy, I had to be sneaky and ask Julie for a pregnancy pack for a "friend" I just found out was preggers...I wanted to tell her so bad, but only being 4.5 weeks pregnant, I bit my tongue. Later she confessed that she had a feeling it might have been me. If you're not lucky like me to have Julie as a friend and unable to make last minute stops to buy a quick baby shower gift you can visit her Etsy store... http://www.etsy.com/shop/rubylovedesigns

{J Brand maternity jeans}

If you have seen me at all lately, I live in my J Brand maternity skinny jeans! I love them, I love them, I LOVE them! Worth every penny and so grateful I bought them when I did {in fact, why didn't I go jean shopping sooner than I did?} They are super cute and even more comfy! Sorry no picture to go with this one...the one on the website is kind of creepy! So you will just have to check back soon and see the weekly belly pictures with me in them in a few profile pictures!
